With the 51st DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park – featuring the premier dirt racing series in the world – set to kick off on Feb. 7, around-the-clock track prep has been ongoing for more than a week to get the World’s Fastest Half-Mile in prime condition.
Leaving almost no section of clay unturned, track prep equipment has been used to dig up and turn the clay surface, drying and forming it into the desired state.
“Our track prep crew has been working non-stop for the past week to make sure we have the track in the best condition for DIRTcar Nationals,” World of Outlaws & DIRTcar CEO Brian Carter said. “I have the highest expectations that we will accomplish that goal.”
The first week of DIRTcar Nationals (Feb. 7-12) will feature DIRTcar 604 Pro Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, All Star Circuit of Champions and the season-opener triple-header for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. Then, the second week will see the debut of the Xtreme Outlaw Sprint Car Series, the DIRTcar Late Models, the World of Outlaws Late Models and the Super DIRTcar Series.
